Once Ben hear this he told Dallas that he will stay and help. Then he saw Dallas acting like nothing has happen, so now he has all these question about the story that Dallas told Ben. Ben feels if he tells people his sersects than he will be treated different and not have a normal life like everyone else. He is all so scared that he will hurt more people if he tells them. Hey-soos tells ben that he does not have a normal life and not telling people will make it worse if he just would tell them now.
ReplyDeleteDallas’s revelation affects Ben by kind of messing with his head. He does not want to pretend like he is going to be around a long time and take care of Dallas and her boy when he is really about to die. He also questions how she had Joe Henry without the doctor finding out who the dad is and not finding out she got raped and Ben does not want to make something such as a baby and die and leave the baby and Dallas to live through it. Also it is hard for Ben to share his secret because he doesn’t want people to worry about him such as Dallas and Cory and especially his mom so she doesn’t go off the deepend even more. Hey-Soos helps with this dilemma by talking to Ben in his sleep and giving him good advice. Also its like he is convicting Ben.

ReplyDeleteThe reason it is so hard for him too tell his secret is hes scared that everyone will treat him differently than they normally do.He also doesn't want to get removed off the football teem like he sees they snatch him so hard out of his pads that they will still be standing. Hey-Soos helps him by telling him what other people would probably think if he told him his secrets or not but some how Hey-Soos knows what is going on with other peoples life as well as Ben's life.
Dallas’ revelation has affected him by making him realize that he may should tell Dallas his secret. He also realized that it may be harder than he thought. Hey-soos helps him by telling him that keeping the secret is making Dallas feel broken and if he keeps hiding his secret it will make her feel worse. It is hard for Ben to tell Dallas because he has already told her once that he will always be there. He has been hiding it for so long it has become too hard for him to reveal it. Ben realizes, with Hey-soos’ help that if he doesn’t tell her soon though, it may be too late.
ReplyDeleteI think that Ben is really scared know because she loves him and he loves her and knw it is harder but he knows that he has to her because she told him her biggest screct and he thinks he needs to tell her about him dying but he is afraid that she is going to tell his brother about it and then his brother would be all like why didn't you tell me and everything. Also I believe that Dallas is knows he has to say to everyone about it befor it is to late like Dallas and him wanting to get married. I think it is really hard for him to tell his brother is because he doesn't want him to worry about him but worry about football, and college and his life and Ben is afraid to tell him because he doesn't know how he is going react to it and how he going to feel after he tells him. About Dallas is really hard because he feel in love with her and he wants to marry her. Ben really should tell her because she told her deep secret and he should tell his about him and not going to the same college as her like she wants and them to never brake up or leave each other. Ben knows he is really going to heart his mom because she is sick now but how about when he tells her about him dying so quickly and how she could do something about it and just be angry with him. I think that Hey- Soos helped him a lot and who he has become trying to make some life better will he can and what he really wants in life and what he hold do. ReplyDeleteI think Dallas's revelation will affect Ben because he now feel like he is hiding something from her after she just told him her secret and that makes him want to tell his but is scared then he will never get a chance. I think its hard for him to share his secret is because now he waited so long he is scared people will be angry at him, or maybe upset a lot of people. The only reason i think that is because the people he is becoming close to will think he was hiding something , Ben also does not want to get treated different. Hey soos helps because in his dream hey soos talks about telling her in and the other people because it really cant be a secret forever I think hey soos may be giving him more confidence in his self to tell people.

ReplyDeleteWithin his last year, Ben falls in love with Dallas Suzuki, he joins the football team with his brother Cody, and he tries his hardest to make his last year worth living. Ben and Dallas grows closer, he wasn't expecting that Dallas little brother was her son. I think when Ben are in a romantic relationship, is it not fair to keep big secrets from each other. The reason being that it seems that he doesn’t care that he has a terminal disease. He decides that he doesn’t want to live a life of people feeling bad for him because he has a disease.He was determined to keep he condition a secret from friends and family not wanting to be treated differently, doing everything he has ever dreamed of, he falls in love with the school’s most popular girl Dallas.

When Dallas old Ben about Joe Henry being her kid instead of her nephew really kinda shocked him. Ben had thought that she was just baby sitting her little nephew but it turns out its her kid. Ben really is surprised by this. Not be cause she just had a kid but because the kids dad was her uncle. He raped her and got her pregnant when she was 13. Which forced Dallas and her mom to move away and hide the pregnancy. They just played it off as it was her nephew. Ben was the first one to know. Its hard for Ben to share his secrete because he doesn't want people to treat him differently just because he is dying. Ben thinks people will just be nice and everything just cause he is dying. He wants people to like him for who he is and not just cause he is dying. Hey-Soos is Ben's go to guy. He is like his own little personal therapist in his head. Hey-Soos is someone for Ben to talk to his secrete about. He helps Ben deal with his problem instead of just dealing with it on his own.
ReplyDeleteAfter Dallas told Ben her secret, Ben started thinking maybe he should tell her that he's dying. The reason is she trust him with her secret why shouldnt Ben trust her? The reason he can't tell his secret is because he just wants to be treated as a normal human being, and not everyone staring at him when he is walking down the hallway. He just doesn't want the secret getting out so his little brother doesnt find out that he was keeping it from him or his parents. He also wants Cody to focus more on College and football than him dying. Hey soos kind of helps him with his drama life because he kind of makes it easier for Ben to tell hos secret to everyone but tells himself that he won't tell anyone until after football is over so he can finish the season.
ReplyDeleteI think Dallas's revelation has made Ben's decision harder for him not to tell everyone. With everyone coming out to him and sharing their secrets and lives it is hard for him not to share his. He knows he needs to keep this a secret because it will be harder for his family and also everyone around him will be forcing him to get treatment that he does not want to get. I think eventually think coach is going to want a better explanation with why he does not want to start with football. With all these people pushing him and asking what is wrong it is Hey-Soos who allows him to vent to someone without the secret becoming known to everyone else.
ReplyDeleteDallas affected Ben in a lot of ways. Ben didn't know how to handle the situation. The reason she had a kid wasn't the problem. It was the fact that she was telling all her secrets that she had never told anyone about. Now he feels obligated to tell her his secret that he has only told a few too. It is so hard for him to tell his secret because he doesn't want his brother Cody to worry. He has his football career to worry about and Ben doesn't want to be the cause of him not going to college. Hey-Soos talks to Ben in his dreams. He talks with Ben through his problems, telling Ben everything will work out.
