  1. 1. Randy says parents don’t realize the power of their words: “Depending on a child’s age and sense of self, an offhand comment from Mom or Dad can feel like a shove from a bulldozer.” Do you agree? Have you ever felt that way?
I have felt that way before, but it wasn't exactly a shove or anything like that. It was more of a tap just because they are always encouraging and not people who put others down. I think Randy was trying to leave behind that you can do anything you want to do. You don't have to give up or put others down to get what you want. I admire the ability of Randy and his wife to keep things real, and focus on the positive.

    2. What are the vital messages to be drawn from the way Randy is saying goodbye to his kids and from the tangible things he is leaving behind for them?
One vital message to be drawn from Randy is that making memories for people to hold on to is extremely important. Whether someone has passed away or other bad things happened in life, it helps their loved ones if they have clear memories of them. i think it was a wonderful way for Randy’s children to be able to know more about their father and his life. With of his personality which I believe will greatly help his young children. I am inspired by his courage.

    3. Randy realized that he didn't give the lecture because he wanted to. He gave it because he “had to.” What does he mean by this?

When Randy was asked to do the lecture, he looked forward to the chance to share what he had learned in life. He wanted to lectured about the joy of life, about how much he appreciated every day in life, even with so little of him own left. He talked about honesty, integrity, gratitude, and other things. And he tried very hard not to be boring.

    4. How would you describe the legacy of Randy Pausch?
One of the most inspirational aspects of Dr. Pausch’s speeches is that he didn’t decide to start living when he found out he was dying. He has been living all along. That doesn’t change his message and the inspiration it has given so many others. I do not know how he can speak with such power on how much time anyone has left on this earth.

  2. 1) I think that it is wrong  for parents to say mean things about there children because you
would never know how much it efcates them. I also think that parents don't think kids take it
as a joke but they really don't you probably  changed there life on what they wanted to
do.parents and others need to give positive things and words so they can live better and
happier on what they want to do in life.
     2. What are the vital messages to be drawn from the way Randy is saying goodbye to his
kids and from the tangible things he is leaving behind for them?
I think he wants his kids to live there lives like he did also to be thankful for what they have and know about there father when they grow up and to know there real dad. Also how he lived his life and to take him as a hero.
     3. Randy realized that he didn't give the lecture because he wanted to.  He gave it because
he “had to.”  What does he mean by this?
I think he means that people should live like did a little and that he didn't give up on his goals or what he anted to do in his life. Also I think he knew that he had to do it is because he wants his family to never forget him and wanted to do the last speech because that was one thing that he wanted to do in life I guess. Also he had to do it because he wanted to thank everyone for what he went through and they helped him get to it. He probably wanted to do it so people can remember him and to tell people that you shouldn't give up on what yo want even if it takes a really long time because at the end it was worth it. My conclusion is that he inspired me and I learned alot from him and I think more people should read this amazing book because it will change you.
     4. How would you describe the legacy of Randy Pausch?
I would say that Legacy of Randy Pausch really inspired people by his life and how he lived
as a respecting kid and really was thankful kid. I think that every school should read it and
learn from it like how he was a great kid and he never gave up on his dreams.
